SVVR Educational Society signs MoU with Alcorn State University, Mississippi State, USA in May 2010

SVVR Educational Society and Alcorn State University, Mississippi State, USA had signed a MoU in May 2010 to work closely with each other. The Alcorn State University was headed by Dr. Samuel L. White, Dean of the School of Arts & Sciences and Director of Sponsored Programmes; Dr. Dovi Alipoe, Director of Global Programmes; Dr. Dalton H McAfee, Extension Administrator; Dr. C Ravindra Reddy, Project Director; and Mr. Ashwini Srivasta, Chief Information Officer.

The MoU was signed by Dr. K Prathap Reddy, Director, representing SVVR Educational Society group of institutions and Dr. Samuel L. White representing Alcorn State University. Both institutions have agreed to collaborate encompassing food and agri business management, general management and advanced technology systems, teleconferences and joint seminars, semester-long study abroad exchange of students, faculty exchanges and other collaborative teaching initiatives mutually agreeable to both parties.

In the short term in the next couple of years, the areas of collaboration include

(a) faculty exchange,

(b) summer internship for students,

(c) sharing information and faculty resources through videoconferencing, and

(d) research on small farmer – market linkages.

BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, and China) have created exciting opportunities for the businesses and the talented human resources. In these New Emerging Economies (NEM), there is a great need for qualified management personnel to handle such economies. The NEM need specifically trained managers with proper understanding of the field situation and opportunities of bottom of the pyramid. In order to provide the managerial manpower, SVVR Educational Society promoted by the reputed SAGAR group of industries has set up Sagar Global Business School (SGBS) in 2009.

 

SGBS has Collaborated with following for widening Students Exposure

MOU with RVJ Eurasia Food and Agro Services BV, Netherlands

Sagar Global Business School(SGBS) /Food and Agri Business School [FABS], Hyderabad and RVJ Eurasia Food and Agro Services BV, Netherlands have signed an MoU to collaborate and connect European and Indian Food & Agro Supply Chains and other businesses in a meaningful way.
More specifically, SGBS/FABS & RVJ Services will

Establish other partnerships to complement and serve their joint businesses/projects
  in an effective and holistic manner.
Jointly design and conduct different training programs as per the market requirements in both Europe and India.
 
Jointly enable/facilitate businesses that can close the quality GAP between European and Indian Food Supply Chains. In the long-term both these entities envision becoming the orchestrators of Food Supply Chains.
 
Carry out different customized research initiatives to understand the opportunities that exist within and between these two markets.
 
Work towards strengthening FABS European priorities by working in close cooperation with FABS. On similar lines, FABS will work towards strengthening the RVJ Services Indian priorities/offerings.
 
Develop mutually beneficial and interesting projects with both short-term and long-term perspective. The decision on the benefits and cost sharing shall be made on a project-by-project basis.

MOU with National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad

National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE), Hyderabad and Food and Agribusiness School (FABS)/Sagar Global Business School(SGBS), Hyderabad has entered into a MoU to work together in the areas of:

Long duration academic programmes
Research, knowledge generation and publication
Sharing faculty and knowledge resources
Rural and agriculture sector transformation programmes implementation
Any other mutually acceptable area
In addition to providing each others’ library and knowledge resources, the collaboration would include jointly conducting / organizing:
Research
Seminars and workshops
Training programmes
 
MoU between ANGRAU, Hyderabad and FABS (SVVR Educational Society) Hyderabad
Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), Hyderabad, and Food and Agribusiness School (FABS), SVVR Educational Society, Hyderabad have signed an MoU on May 25, 2009 to influence rural transformation in general and transformation of agriculture sector in particular. The two institutes agreed to work together in the areas of:
Long duration academic programmes
Research, knowledge generation and publication
Sharing faculty and knowledge resources
Rural and agriculture sector transformation programmes implementation
Any other mutually acceptable area
In addition to providing each others’ library and knowledge resources, the collaboration would include jointly conducting / organizing:
